Andrew King joined P&O in 2001 and had spent time at the P&O head office in London before becoming a member of the P&O Maritime Services Board in 2003.
Originally trained as a solicitor, Andrew has spent most of his career in international project, strategy and market development roles having held senior positions with Rothmans International in the United Kingdom and Carter Holt Harvey in New Zealand.
Andrew transferred to Australia in April 2004 when he took up the position of Commercial Director for P&O Maritime Services before becoming Managing Director on 1 January 2005.
Mohammed Sharaf Mohammed Sharaf is the first CEO of DP World, the global port operator formed in 2005 with the integration of the domestic and international arms of the Dubai Ports organisation.
With nearly two decades of experience in the transport and logistics business he joined Dubai Ports Authority in 1992. Mohammed Sharaf rose rapidly through the organisation holding a number of senior positions at the Port of Dubai including Commercial Director and Managing Director, playing a central role in the extraordinary development of Dubai's container terminals at Jebel Ali and Port Rashid which combined have become a top ten global terminal facility.
Mohammed Sharaf managed a major international growth strategy that included the successful acquisition of CSX WT in 2004 and of the P&O Group in 2006.
John Campbell
John Campbell is Executive Director and General Manager Government Shipping Services.
John has been working in the shipping industry for the past 40 years and has gained experience in a wide range of roles across the industry. He is a master mariner with 20 years seagoing experience on various types of vessels including bulk carriers, Ro-Ro, general cargo and heavy lift vessels.
He has held senior management roles in port operations and has experience operating bulk and general cargo terminals, stevedoring, road rail and warehousing. He has worked as a marine pilot and port agent.
John held senior management roles in BHP Transport and Logistics gaining experience in chartering and management of a fleet of 29 vessels which were operating on a world wide trading pattern. He was a Director in the Australian Ship Owners Association for 5 years as well as being a Director on various other shipping industry related boards.
Before joining P&O Maritime Services, John operated his own consultancy business and provided technical and operational shipping advice to companies operating in Australia and Internationally.
Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah
Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah has served as a Director and Executive Vice Chairman of P&O Maritime Services since May 2007. He joined Dubai Ports in 1981 and from 2001 led Dubai Port Authority, which operated DP World Jebel Ali and Port Rashid (Dubai).
Jamal is also Group Chief Executive Officer of Port and Free Zone World FZE. As Group Chief Executive Officer of Port and Free Zone World FZE he also oversees the free zone and business park company, Economic Zones World, which includes Jafza International, Jebel Ali Free Zone and the P&O Ferries business.
As Executive Director of the Board of Dubai World he also acts as Vice Chairman supporting the Dubai World Chairman in managing the portfolio.
Stewart Price
Stewart Price joined P&O Maritime Services in August 2005 as Finance Director, where he is responsible for the financial operating and reporting functions of P&O Maritime Services.
Prior to joining P&O Maritime Services, Stewart was employed by the Unidial Group of companies as General Manager.
Stewart commenced his career with Ernst & Young, and after gaining extensive experience there, then moved on to become the Finance Manager of Country Victoria Tourism, where he provided financial leadership and the ongoing guidance to help develop a professional and sustainable regional tourism industry in Victoria.
His experience in financial analysis and commercial management, including contract review, has been strengthened by other roles such as Financial Accountant with Oce-Australia Ltd, and Commercial Manager with Pracom Ltd.
