Defence includes 50% ownership of DMS Maritime, a company that:

• provides nationwide port services and small support craft to the Royal Australian Navy under a long term contract to 2010.   This also includes the world wide provision and support of embarked tenders in naval vessels.  DMS Maritime owns, and/or manages and operates a fleet of more than 100 small vessels and eight oceangoing vessels
  
• has managed the design and build a fleet of fourteen Armidale Class Patrol Boats for the Royal Australian Navy and is now providing through life support for this fleet with guaranteed levels of availability, over a period of 20 years
  
• provides maintenance support to the fleet of Australian Customs Service's Bay Class Patrol Boats
